So for the last few days my hamster, Puffy, has shown cold-like symptoms(difficulties in breathing, sneezing, losing his appetite) and we took him to the vet 2 days ago . The vet turned out to not be knowledgeable about hamsters so he just made him an injection and sent us home. We are going to take him to another vet as soon as possible but I am super worried. Puffy is squealing with every breath he takes and it's thinking he may pass away without me being able to help him is awful. Can he actually die from a cold? Is it too late if he's been sick for around a week, with one vet visit that seemed to do nothing for him? Please help, it's the middle of the night here but I can't sleep since I'm so worried.
