I really want a cat but am allergic (asthma, hives, itchy eyes). My parents have always been super paranoid of these allergies when I was growing up and told me to stay away from cats. Now that I'm living on my own, I have been researching that there are tips to living with cats by reducing allergy symptoms (hepa filters, vacuuming, brushing, keeping cat out of bed).
Was just hoping to hear so some stories (good and bad experiences) of those with cat allergies that now have cats?
