So, I recently moved in with my parents a few months ago because COVID made me lose my job. My cats haven't been getting along with my family's cats AT ALL. I have no idea how to make things work and I have nowhere to move which means I may have to get rid of my babies and I don't want to, nor do I want them to think I don't love them anymore.
But, Brea is 1/2 Siamese so is naturally dominant and aggressive. But it's more than that, They both harass the other cats, won't let them go to the cat boxes and attack them when they're sleeping or just when they're walking by and don't expect it. They often play with/get along with two of the other cats, but otherwise area awful to the less assertive ones. In fact, most of the cats (my mom has 6), hide out around the house, particularly in the basement, and never come out. They're too scared.
Does ANYONE know how to help with this?? Please! I'm terrified I'll have to lose my babies because I have nowhere else to go. If anyone is a cat behavioralist ot anything, please give me any advice you can. This is really distressing me and setting off my anxiety, and I'm not on any meds right now.
