Hi all, today we bought home a new cat (Kevin, male, 2yrs). We have had our first cat (Ivy, female, 2 years) for about 5 months. I planned on keeping them separate with their own setups, but the new fella got very comfortable very fast and got out as I opened the door to his room, and met the new cat (who was already a bit wary of the smell and the door). There was no fighting, just hissing, and Ivy seemed to try to corner Kevin. They are back in their separate spaces (bar from another daring escape, darn it Kevin), but I'm wondering how I should proceed? Ivy seems a bit anxious while Kevin couldn't care less, he's currently snoozing on my legs. I knew there would be some animosity at first but should I be worried? Any advice appreciated!
