I’m moving to NY from CA with my cat, but am flying into NJ first and staying there for two weeks to quarantine. NJ does not require a health certificate (CVI) for cats coming from another state, but NY does. My friend will be driving me from NJ to NY after the two weeks.
Is there any point when I would be required present a health certificate for my cat? My cat has all the necessary vaccinations that a CVI would show and is in good health, but it’s expensive to get a CVI at her current vet and my schedule is tight. The airline doesn’t require a CVI.
