Cat peed on my couch when I went on vacation for 2 days. Got a gallon of Nature's Miracle Urine Destroyer and sprayed the down.
- Took off seat/back covers and washed them, air dry, soak with Nature's Miracle
- Soaked the seat cushions with Nature's miracle
I would fill up a spray bottle and spray the cushions/covers until they were practially soaked. i.e. if I pressed down on the cushion, it would 'gush' with Nature's Miracle. Used 75% of the whole gallon on the couch.
Let it air dry for 3 days.
After a week, the Nature's Miracle smell is gone. AND I don't smell any urine at all.
However, there is a faint 'musky' smell. Not 'bad' but a smell that makes me think "this needs freshened up". I can stiff the couch and its hard to really get a good wiff of. but if im just sitting there i can kinda smell it slightly.
anyone experience this? I may wash my covers again in a week but obviously i can't was the cushions. Plus, I dont want to accidentally wash away the enzymes if they are still working...
I got a blacklight and can't see anything glowing at all. Granted, idk if the urine was glowing before I washed them since i didn't have a light then.
advice?
