English isn't my mother tongue, so bear with me here.. So here is a quick sum up: Our cat is quite a mess. She tends to get lots of fleas and worms. We go to the vet regulary and get her checked. We now have to put some kind of salbe on the back of her neck to get rid of worms. But she starts tearing her furr out where the salbe is put. We asked the vet and they told us "It's fine if it's not damaging the cat". But it is damaging her. She is literally tearing he furr out (and please mind that she lives outside for the most part and it's been getting cold). And she also tries to scratch her skin off back there, luckily she can't reach it. But it's a terrible sight.
I'm trying to help her get rid of worms but the treatment the vet recommended is obviously not good. Any advice? We can't just stop because she'd get worms if we did. Please help.
