Pet Cremation, what I learned from talking to Pet Crematorium worker

Hey guys and girls,

I have just talked to a pet crematorium worker on my podcast The Unusual Jobs show, and I would like to share some of the highlights here, who knows maybe some of you will find it useful.

1) How do I know that I will get my pets ashes ?

There 3 options, group, private and semi-private cremation. The difference is the price. In one you have a group of animals that are cremated, and you don't get any ashes back, for private you get only your animal in the machine and you are getting your ashes back, in semi-private there are several animals but they are on the distance from each other, so ashes are very easy to distinguish.

So if you want ashes back, but you are on a budget - semi-private might be the way to go.

2) What to do with ashes ?

You can either have them in the urn, or you can spread them. Sam, the guy I talked to in his crematorium has a garden when you can do that.

The other cool thing is that you can have a necklace with some of the ashes in them.

3) Can you get the paw print ?

Yes you can

4) Why do people cremate their pets ?

If you live in a city there are not too many options to burry your pet - so cremation comes in handy. Also in some wild territories you have wild animals who will dig your animal body out. So you don't want to have that.

Guys, hope this brought you value. If you want to know more, you can listen to the episode.
