[Question] Every time I leave my 7 month old puppy by herself, I come home to a small pool of water and her face is soaked. It's not pee. What is happening?

This has baffled me for months now. She's a cocker spaniel and I know they have genetic separation anxiety issues. But it truly is bizarre... Every time I get home she has a wet face and there is a small puddle of liquid somewhere, usually near the closest door. There's nothing for her to get into, and it's definitely not pee. I'm thinking maybe excessive salivation due to the anxiety? Can't find much on this though. Any help to solve this mystery is appreciated!
