For the last two weeks, my dogs has been throwing up and not eating very much. He has seemed to have lost coordination in his legs and walking around appears to be a struggle for him. I had been very busy and I feel terrible that I didn't realize how badly his health was deteriorating. I wanted to take him to the Vet last week but was unable to due to my work schedule and all veterinarians nearby were closed this Sunday. Either way I really messed up not taking him like 1 week prior.
He is 14 years old and a few days ago a weird growth appeared on his gums and then they appeared to have exploded. My dog's mouth seems to be bleeding constantly and right now he seems unable to lie down. He just looks like he is in pain and I am convinced he should be put down but my family members disagree and want to try to save him with surgery. I feel that that will only prolong his pain. Thoughts?
