Hi! I got my current dog when she was 10 weeks old and I was living with my parents who both work from home. She’s now 5 and we just moved into our very own house with my boyfriend of 3 years. She didn’t adjust well at first becuz she was used to being home all day with my mom. Nd my boyfriend and I work 7-4. I leave the tv on for her and come home and walk her and play with her. She eventually got better after a month and started eating again. But then just recently (this last week or so) she stopped eating. She will get excited to play but mostly just lays down and has been weird about laying on our couch. I thought maybe she was lonely still and having hard adjusting to the move. But tonight I found mice droppings behind that couch!! I read dogs can act funny when there’s a mouse present and I’m wondering if she won’t eat cuz a mouse got into her food.. cuz she still wants food from the table (obviously) and she will eat treats and her greenies. I really just need advice. I’m not sure if her mood change is caused by mice or if she is actually depressed by the new living situation. I called the vet today and I’m waiting on a call back, but I doubt they’ll give me advice without going in and paying for an appointment. Any tips or tricks with how to help her would be great. I hate seeing her sad, it breaks my heart.
