I know clipping black nails can be stressful because it's hard to find the quick.
But I've found that using a flashlight (on my phone) it is pretty easy to identify where the quick is, and where/how far is safe to clip off.
Just got to find the right angle to shine the light. And it's not too time consuming, I was done before I knew it.
If this is something that's well known please let me know; but wanted to share my advice if it's not well know :·)
