a friend of mine has been searching for a home for one of her kittens, and yesterday I finally convinced my dad into letting me adopt her. my friend brought the kitten to my house this morning, and she was quite agitated when she let her out of the cage. when she finally calmed down she cowered between my legs for a bit, let me pat her and then i took her into my room. she’s been under my bed since 11 am and it’s 11 pm now. i can’t reach very well under my bed, and i can’t really pull her out because i don’t want to hurt her. i placed a bowl of water and newspapers and food in front of the bed but she hasn’t touched anything. should i be worried? I know adopted cats can take a bit to get accustomed to a new living space, but I’m kind of worried because I haven’t seen her eat or drink anything and I don’t know if something’s wrong. I have an older female cat but we haven’t introduced her to her because I read somewhere that I should get I should let the little kitty get used first to my room before she can explore the rest of the house and eventually meet the other cat. should I be worried about her not eating/drinking/going to the bathroom yet? please help, i don’t know what to do to help her feel more at home
