Before you all go crazy about how college students don't have time for pets, let me put it out there that I have considered this. I have three roommates (two of whom almost always have people over) and one has a cat, and trust me when I say he gets all the love he wants. I left three cats and three dogs with my parents, but two cats and one of the dog were not sole responsibility so I understand the cost, time, and care related to pets. We live in an apartment and I am looking for a good, small pet. I have not owned anything outside of dogs, cats, and chickens before so I'm looking for easy small mammals or maybe even reptiles/amphibians. Preferably cute little guys who don't smell too much (I will clean habitats as often as needed) and are fun. I'm happy to get multiple to give them social groups and am mostly looking for companions to help out with my anxiety by filling up the gaps in my schedule. The big thing is I need a quiet, small pet that is not bad smelling (given that I intend to clean cages regularly).
