Does anyone have any experience with a dog being bothered by the tv? My dog Freya, a 2 1/2 year old lab/Aussie mix goes absolutely ballistic when animals are on tv. At first it was kind of funny but now it really seems to stress her (and us) out.
She definitely has stranger and separation anxiety. She was 10-12 weeks or so when we adopted her from a rescue. On walks she can be very protective anxious about other people, especially bikes.
We’ve taken her to an animal behaviorist and started her on Prozac. She’s such a sweet girl but her bark is ferocious. If any sort of animal or creature (dinosaur monster whatever) is on tv she seems to think it’s actually there. Since this is something in our home I’d like to work on it with her first. I try to keep treats nearby and distract.
Has anyone encountered this? No one I personally has met has (including our vet.
