I have a 15 year old rat terrier mix. She's old, but acts like she's 5. This is the second day in a row this has happened and I can't find much online, so I was hoping maybe reddit could shed some light.
We cage our dog at night. Normally when I open her cage for potty time and food she runs out and is super excited. Well for the past two days, she has been unresponsive. Obviously breathing, no signs on vomit or pee in the bed. I can shake her but she won't get up. I swear the first time this happened I thought she was dead! I have to pull her out of her cage which then she will wag her tail and run around. She has no other issues besides arthritis in her legs.
Is this something that warrents a vet visit? Is she just in super deep sleep? I don't know!
