TLDR: can female dogs on antibiotics also get yeast infections like people?
Yesterday we brought our 5 month old German short haired pointer to the emergency weekend vet because she wasn’t herself on our trail walk, peeing every 30 seconds and didn’t want to see any other dogs. We picked up her antibiotics and they did a urine sample that is still at the lab.
Wondering if I should be on alert for her getting a yeast infection with the antibiotics and what that might look like in a puppy? Oh she isn’t spayed yet we were waiting for her puppy teeth to fall out or 6 months.
