A friend of mine has a German Shepherd with very swollen salivary glands. It's neck is about the size of two grapefruit. It has been drained about 4 times, had a major surgery a few months back to remove one of the glands, drained again a week ago, had a full course of antibiotics... but it keeps coming back. The poor thing is so patient and sweet, but these repeated procedures are difficult. Friend lives in a developing/first-world country, so not the best vets in the world, but decent. Has anyone experienced recurring salivary gland issues? What can my friend do?
