I'm a first time cat owner so I don't really have any experience in this area, advise would be appreciated.
My neighbour has recently asked that I keep my cat out of his garden. She hasn't ever made a mess or used his flower beds as a litter tray or anything (I'd know because he would absolutely let me know about it), she just sits under a bush and watches the birds in his hedge, so I don't think there is a behavioural issue here.
He just doesn't like cats in his garden which I can respect to a reasonable degree, but also cats are naturally a roaming animal and I'm not sure how best to stop her. Today (the first time we have spoken since his first request) he chased her back over the fence to me and said quite harshly "that /thing/ was in my garden again, do something or I'll sort /it/ out" which made me very uncomfortable and she was clearly a bit spooked too. I'd like to sort this out asap but am unsure how to proceed. Can anyone recommend something I can do?
