Messed up medication dosing, would love advice

Hello! I took my kitten to the vet with mild intermittent diarrhea, everything seemed normal upon a vet visit but he was prescribed a probiotic and metronidazole suspension to be taken 1ml twice daily as a precautionary measure. I could have sworn i heard the technician say 1ml/day so that’s what I’ve done for the past 6 days.

I read the label today (wondering why I had so much left) and realized I was supposed to be giving 1ml twice daily for 7 days... tomorrow is day 7, I’m not sure what to do, should i continue twice daily from this point on until the medication is gone? I will likely give the vet a phone call to double check but I feel so bad for messing this up... on the bright side he’s still doing great, and his symptoms seem to be improving.

Species - kitten

Age - 4.5 months

Neutered

Breed - domestic short hair

Weight - 8.5 lbs (he’s going to be a big cat!) HX- adopted from shelter, all vaccines and tests up to date, had ear mites upon adoption but that has been taken care of!

Clinical signs - gas and intermittent diarrhea for ~2 weeks, no changes in weight, appetite, energy, or fluid intake. No irritability, soft abdomen upon palpating, veterinarian stated everything seems normal, still super playful and lovey

Duration- 2 weeks, improving

He has dry food, blue buffalo healthy grow kitten, to graze on and is offered wet food, Royal canin kitten most of the time, 3-4 times daily, approximately 1/2 can mixed with some water each time. I also have a 5 y/o male cat who is doing well and has no symptoms.

Thank you for any advice and sorry for formatting, I’m on mobile!
