Help with acclimating new kitty to water fountain?

Hi everyone! I just brought home a lovely young kitty named Minnow a few days ago. She's finally warming up enough to play and eat full meals, but she won't drink water unless it's out of a little cup. It's cute, but I'm worried about her hydration. She's eating wet food so it shouldn't be too much of a problem, but I'm worried that she doesn't seek out water on her own.

I got one of those Catit water fountains that looks like a little flower, but it makes a quiet low humming noise she seems to be spooked by. So far I've gotten her to sit a couple feet away while I play with the stream of water and let her lick it off my fingers, but she won't approach it. She also won't eat any food or drink anything substantial in the area of the fountain.

Does anyone have some tips for helping a kitty learn that this fountain and its noise is harmless?
