My cat fell ill and I don't know if she will recover

I have a 14 years old cat whose life has been great, she never fell ill until last friday night. On saturday when we waked up we found out she had been vomiting during the night and she also had diarrhea. She was also a bit weak and had symptoms of dehydration so we took her to the vet. They made her a blood test and everything was ok except for the ALT, where the result was 301 while the reference range is 0-116. So the vet just told us she has some problem with the liver and gave her serum for the dehydration. Yesterday sunday and today we took her again to the vet, but the result was the same and we don't have a diagnosis or prognosis. She has always a very hard time in the vet so I wonder if it is worth it to keep taking there... Now, she is very weak, still has diarrhea, drools and doesn't eat. Since the vet doesn't give us a prognosis, I wanted to ask opinions and sugestions?

What do you think is happening her? Can she recover? Should I keep taking her to the vet? I really don't want her to die there... If she is going to die I just want her to be at home.
