My cat won’t stop scratching during playtime

I have a sweet and playful one year old cat but his claws have been an issue. Whenever we are playing he always scratches (HARD) and leaves cuts all over me. It isn’t aggression he just wants to play but it hurts so bad

He has a few scratch posts and many toys but always goes for hands and faces

How can I stop this behavior?
