So we have 2 cats, one male and one female. The male yagami, is 6 months and the female kiyomi is 5 months, they get along get and play and cuddle and groom each other all the time. They are both fixed. When we first introduced them to eachother all they would do is play fight (we thought it was actual fighting at first. But they never hissed). So a few days ago I got a new kitten, roughly 10 weeks old, a female and isn't fixed. We've kept them separated since I got her and today we decided to bring them out together. I put the new kitten in a dog crate so they can see and smell eachother but can't bite or start fighting. Yagami did exactly what he did with kiyomi and was trying to play with her. Kiyomi on the other hand wouldn't go near the cage. I picked her up and walked towards the cage and she started freaking out, first started meowing frantically and then hissed at the new kitten. I let her go and she walked away, still hissing at her. I tried this again and more hissing, the new kitten just looked at her tho and wasn't hissing back. Then I tried taking the kitten out of the cage and bring her to kiyomi. The kitten meowed at her and kiyomi hissed. I put the kitten up closer, with her back facing kiyomi so she could get a smell of the kitten. She smelled her and Immediately hissed again.
Is this normal? Or has kiyomi already decided she won't like her. If not what can I do to get her to get along. Also, we have 4 ferrets and kiyomi has never had a problem with them, she may be a little wary and keep her distance but has never hissed at them
