So I’ve been a bad dog owner. Only really take my dog out to dog park once a week. She’s a whippit and greyhound mix so she needs even more physical activity than most. On top of that she’s escaped a few times. This girl who found her the last time She escaped is a vet and goes on hikes three times a week with her dog and wanted her bad. I didnt want to give my dog up but this is an infinitely better home for her. This decision was so tough but keeping her would have been selfish. She is now able to be active all the time and get great exercise instead of being cooped up in my apt all day. I gave her my dog this past Sunday. This fucking sucks but she’ll be so much happier. That dog helped me get through the darkest moments in my life. I figure this is the least I can do for her. Dogs are amazing. She’s already been on a bunch of hikes and is going to the mountains up north for a month in November. Her son plays with her everyday and she was so happy to see them. Walking her to her new owner was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done but seeing pictures of her so happy now make my heart feel better. I miss you Harley 😭😭😭😭
