Risk of Incest with dogs

So my family and I got a dog a few years ago and it was a female. We had no other dogs and just had her for some time. Then one day we got another male dog from one of our family friends and we had him for a while because the owner was leaving out of town for a while so we kept him during that time and while we had him he got our female dog pregnant. We gave the male dog back to its owner before she had birth and then eventually she gave birth to some pups. We took care of them until they got bigger then decided to sell them to some friends and family and decided to keep one of the puppies. We decided to keep the 1 male puppy. (although now I kind of regret it) Mostly because he was very little, almost as if he was not getting the nutrients he needed and was not growing as fast as he should have been. Also, because he looked funny. Very early on we saw that he was a weird dog and his behavior was odd but we decided to keep him because he looked funny and looked like its mother. Nothing really happened for a while until now where I think the male dog is now wanting to mate and since the only female around him is his own mother i'm afraid that he will do it with his own mother. However like I said before he is an odd dog and is very scared for some reason. Anytime I want to pet him he gets scared and runs away and if I do grab him he pees himself cause he is scared. We don't really play with the dogs to much. We kind of just have them, so that they can eat leftovers from dinner and although some might find that disrespectful they seem to be fine with it. I'm sure many people have those types of dogs though, I mean we are still taking care of them and feeding them, but just not taking them on walks or giving them showers. Not that they would let us give them one anyways, because they don't like showers. I really would take care of them if they were my dogs but they are just my families dogs and we just have them and I never really liked them, although I don't hate them either and I check to see if they are okay.

Anyways, what do I do to prevent the dogs from having incest and if they already have then what should I do? I don't think they have because again the male dog/son is very scared of stuff and is definitely not an alpha dog. I also think the female/mother is not letting him but i'm not sure so what do I do because I told my parents and they don't seem to care very much. I want to prevent it but at the same time I feel like I might have to get rid of them and give them away. Please help.
