Our cat got into some tight spot and managed to scrape his fur off on his neck just below his jaw. He did this two days in a row before we finally got him to settle down. But now the wound must be itching. because he is scratching at it like crazy. We have been trying to keep the wound clean and covered with Neosporin, but he scrapes it off right away. Now the wound looks infected, but we’re sure that he’d freak out and scratch it off if we tried to put a bandage on to keep it clean. Because of where it is located, I’m not sure a cone will be an option, either. If we can’t come up with any other home solutions, he’s going to the vet. Has anyone had any experience with something like this? Or any advice?
