Hello everyone. I have a one year old female cat. She has scabbing on the outside of her anus. It’s a dark color, almost a a reddish black. She hasn’t had any trouble pooping, and she hasn’t been scooting her rear on the floor or frequently licking it. I noticed right before she uses the litter box, it becomes red and swollen. Her stools are normal, no signs of blood or anything. She seems to be happy, and her usual energetic self.
Is this something I should contact the vet about? I don’t want to wait on it if it’s a sign of infection. Thanks in advance!
