The vet didn’t give me a cone after my dog was neutered today, he has been licking it a little (but we have been stopping him) but he has internal stitches. Just wondering if I should buy a cone or inflatable collar for when we’re sleeping to make sure he’s not licking the wound. Also, is it normal for vets not to give you a cone after? Everything I’m reading says it is necessary but I’m just not sure why they didn’t think so.
