I've had my cat for about 3 1/2 years. She's hated getting her nails cut the whole time. But if I don't do it, when she tries to climb up on my lap for pets, her nails dig info my legs. My routine is to catch her first thing in the morning when she's out of it. She's expecting me to put down her wet food so she'll follow me anywhere. I wrap her in a towel and then just trim the very tips while talking to her. Sometimes she tries to get away. Today we went full blown growlng and airborne twisting around...I finished one paw before giving up. I let her go and fed her as promised. But I really don't feel like having to psych myself up to do this anymore. Is there a way I can keep her nails dull without actually triming them?
