Family got a new kitten, now her two main people she socializes with are planning on leaving for two months?!

My mom and sister got a sweet, sassy social tabby kitten a month ago and are now thinking they will be traveling to visit my grandpa for two months and leaving the kitten at home with our other cat, two dogs, and my dad who is still working from the office full time right now. She has started playing with the cat but doesn’t like the big golden retrievers despite their efforts to be friends.

I just picked a fight because I think it is such a thoughtless move to adopt a kitten and then disappear from her life for a couple months. Essentially they would be removing a major part of her daily people interaction and she will still be pretty young. I’m worried she will have antisocial or abandonment issues that could be completely avoided. My brother and sister can drop by but it will be nothing compared to the attention she gets right now.

Am I over reacting or could there be long term issues that come up?
