I am moving in with my bf and we want to live in an urban city. He has a ~40-50 lb dog and I have a cat. We were hoping to get an apartment on the ground floor near a park for the dog...and hoping to keep the cat in the bedroom until they get used to each other. Has anyone done this before? I googled "can a cat live in 1 room?" and "moving a dog from a house with a yard to an apartment" and both seem doable, but I wonder if both at the same time will be too much.
