My cat Sasha was always a healthy cat. I have never had any issues with her. This summer she started over grooming and losing her hair. She would over groom so much that her paws were raw; just pink and almost bald. I have taken Sasha to our vet 3 times and she really isn’t any better. Sasha used to play so much. She used to love cuddling with me. Now she just hovers over the food bowl and drinks water constantly. The vet said it was an allergy and it should get better with winter coming. They gave her steroids which helped a little, but not much. She just isn’t herself anymore. It’s so sad to see. They tested for diabetes, kidney disease, and combed for fleas. Sasha currently has dry scabs all over her body. She has areas with lots of hair loss. She still just hovers over her food and water. I just want my happy cat back. I don’t know if I should take her to a new vet for another opinion or try to find a specific cats only specialist. When I Google her symptoms on the internet the only thing I can really find is allergies. It’s cost me so much already, but I just want my girl better again.
