My cat is an 8-month-old male and I got him when he was just 8 weeks old. Every once in a while when he was a baby (seriously not often at all) he would pee on a pile of clothes or in a suitcase if left open but it was never a reoccurring thing until he hit about 6 months old around when he hit kitty puberty. He started peeing in my bed every single day for like 2 weeks until I had to start locking him up in my closet when I wasn't home and through the night. I got him neutered a month and a half ago and he stopped peeing in my bed for almost a month then he started up again 2 weeks ago. He peed in my bed 4 days in a row then I took him to the vet to check for some sort of UTI. I couldn't afford for them to test his pee (I'm in college and saving up to move across the country so money is super tight and I already spent $200 getting him neutered and vaccinated) but they did a thorough physical exam and didn't find anything out of the ordinary. He hasn't peed in my bed since then, until today, 2 weeks after taking him to the vet. I don't understand what the problem could be. I have 2 cats total and he gets along very well with the other, they are best friends, and I have 2 litter boxes. I have to keep them contained in my room basically all the time because I live with my older sister right now and she is super controlling and won't let them roam, especially now since my youngest kitty is peeing outside the litter box. In order to keep them entertained, I take them outside twice a day for playtime. Today when my cat peed, it was just after I had brought them back inside. I left my room to go wash some dishes and came back to piss on my bed. My first thought was that it was because I took him inside too soon because he was crying at the door wanting to get back out so he peed out of spite, but I really just am at a loss. I washed my sheets in vinegar to get the smell out of my bedding because that's what the vet said to do and I also have an enzyme cat pee cleaner I use so there is absolutely no smell left behind. He pees and poops in the litter box all the time and has been consistently but just sometimes goes for my bed. There are no stressors in the house that I know of and he acts the same every day. I need help so bad, I can't even fathom having to get rid of him because of this. It would break my heart!!
