I had just recently got 2 new kitties and my family really doesn't know anything about cats. The other day my parents were talking about having them declawed. The vet they went to had explicitly told them that the procedure was painless and humane, yet the entirety of the internet says this is a horrible idea. I really love these guys and I don’t want them in pain. My parents are dead set on them being declawed yet they do not scratch much at all. If even there was the smallest scratch on furniture (which there isn’t) my parents are the type of people to just lose it at them. They would do anything to convenience themselves even if it meant pain for the animal and the safety of their furniture. I need help fast and quite honestly I think the situation is pointless and there is nothing I can say or do to change their minds.
