I know this has been posted a million other times but things didn’t go as planned originally lol.
So I got a new cat two sundays ago. She was a Christmas present. She was rehomed from a house where there were other cats attacking her and a noisy toddler. Now she lives w just me.
When I got her I “unwrapped” her in my living room where she immediately hid as I was expecting. She stayed under my sofa for a couple days and didn’t eat or drink. Eventually I realized she should’ve been started out in a smaller room and I moved her to my bedroom (she didn’t like me coming to her and I basically had to close all doors to force her in my room). I locked her up there but then I started waking up to her wanting to come out of my room as she was banging on my door. The first night I didn’t let her but the second night I did. She started drinking, using the box, and eating (and boy does she love to eat). The thing is, is she still growls at me and doesn’t want me anywhere near her. I have feliway in a spray and a diffuser. I don’t stare at her in the eyes and I lay on the ground and just talk to her. She hides under the middle of my bed so I can’t get relatively close. I just feel so lost and want her to at least let me pet her lol any advice?
