People buying puppies hoping to make money on YouTube. Thoughts?

I started noticing a few channels there probably are more that buy a puppy/kitten make videos but as soon as the puppy grows older and the views start dropping they get a new one to make videos with.

I have been following a channel for two years now and they have already done this twice, I checked the Social blade it always coincides with a drop in viewership and subsequent rise after the puppy is brought in. This is nothing conclusive and doesn't necessarily give evidence to support what I mentioned, I may be completely mistaken.

Further it doesn't seem like a good idea in the long term, how long can you keep repeating the cycle?

I'm not the only one who has noticed this and after a lot of others made similar comments in the channels comment section, the channel turned off the comments permanently. I have never made a comment on the channel nor will I, I try not to put negative things in the comments as it ruins not just the up loaders time but also my own, since once I write something the thought lingers about for a while and negativity tends to fester.

I don't have a fully formed opinion on this other than I do not think this is a smart or sustainable, I am yet to come to a conclusion on morality of the situation.

I do not want anyone's livelihood to be taken away but what do you think about this?
