I’m single and I work 12 hr shifts 4 days a week at night. I’m wanting to adopt an older dog but not quite sure with working those long hours and leaving him alone especially being an adopted dog. Would it be best to crate the dog for the first few weeks? How would I go about this? For clarification I don’t have a fenced in backyard( on the list of things to do) with the house I just bought. If anyone works something similar or has experience in this it would be greatly appreciated.
