Hello r/pets , I really need help and I'm kind of new here but I'd really appreciate it if you helped me. So my mom decided to get a cat and 2 days ago, we got a female kitten and we named her Luna.
So when Luna was born she and her siblings, as we know from her first owner, was inside the house for 2 months since she was a baby and then for 2 other months, she was outiside and she had other kittens to play with aswell. The problem is she's now trying to escape, probably because she was an outdoor cat for two months and she's going to be a forever indoor cat (unless we move), she had "friends" and she was free basically free.
(I live on an apartment).
I know we just got her just 2 days ago and she needs some time to get used to her new enviroment, but naturally a cat this old would be okay now, still scared but she would not try to escape. Furthermore she has caused lots of problems. At 5am she tried to get out of the window in our kitchen, she went into our fireplace and now she's behind the toilet.
She just causes a lot of problems and my dad is very angry and at the end I feel like my parents are going to regret getting her, but still we can't give her away, because she's going to be even more terrified if she changes house and owners again.
I really need help with this one and now I think she's still behind the toilet. But well you'd ask "But it's just a toilet and if she's behind it you can get her out". No we can't. The toilet has a hole and she's in it and we can't see her. Now my mom is going to either let her there till she's bored or either throw water at her. I don't think it's the best idea to throw water because she's going to be really scared of us after it. If there is a way of getting her out please tell me. I'd be really happy if you helped me, because she's such a good kitten, even if she causes problems, because we know that she's trying to escape only because she's scared.
Also I forgot to say that she went aswell behind the washer, behind a bookshelf and many more.
