Hello everyone! Im currently trying to introduce my 3 cats to my german shepherd. Everything so far has been going good, no big signals of stress, everyones still eating and drinking and sleeping. My GSD has been staying at my grandparents house while my three 6 month old kitties live here with me. I just want to make sure im not making anyone unhappy or stressed out. My GSD is a rescue that was abused and abandoned. He is very skittish and is very dependented on me so i wanted him to live here with me so i can comfort him and keep an eye out. he also has heartworms so he’s not very active either. He doesnt chase the cats and has spent most of his time on his bed in my floor. The cats can be im the same room as him but if he sticks his face near theirs or gets up too fast they get a little hissy but more of a spooked hiss rather than an i’ll kill you hiss. No ones tried attacking anyone, they’ve actually been able to sniff one another without any problems. I just want to make sure im doing everything right so that no one is unhappy or stressed. Im probably overthinking it but I really care about my babies and I just want to make everyone happy so any advice is helpful! If anyone has done this themselves please let me know what worked for you!
