I had to put my dog to sleep today. He was a rescue and him and I were very close. His condition worsened from unnoticeable to very concerning in a matter of days. I meditated a lot with him before his passing and told myself that him being euthanized was a good thing. He had cancer, arthritis, and was not the same dog at all so I know I did the right thing. Going forward, what can I do to cope with this death? I am mostly asking for any stories or methods to reach out to him and know he is there spiritually but any advice is of course welcome! I was never ready to say goodbye and am not sure if I ever can. He is very special.
