I adopted a kitty a few months ago and things were great the first month. Now we are close to 6 months and after the first she started scratching the door and clawing the carpet underneath. I tried deterrents, I tried putting a plastic mat down, I tried everything I could think of. She ignores the deterrent sprays and pulls the matt away and still scratches the carpet. Always in the same spot. She has made a hole there. I'm not sure what to do and I am at my wits end. I love this cat but recently I've been looking at a crate option for night time. If anyone has ideas that could help I'm all ears.
