Our female cat (about 5 years old) has throughout the year slowly stopped eating. At first she refused to eat dry food, so we just gave her wet food instead, thinking she was a picky eater.
However, this last month she has slowly stopped eating completely. She will only lick up the sauce of the wet food and maybe take a couple of bites. Today I gave one of those cat soups, and she didn't take a single bite from the solid pieces.
She frequently comes up to us and asks for food, following us into the kitchen and sits in front of the cupboard.
We're going to take her to the vet, but I also wanted to see what you guys think could be wrong.
