I went and rescued a puppy from San Antonio, today. He was there for about 5 days, and is pretty healthy. About 4 months. Inspected, neutered, chipped, but still came with fleas. I know that I should go and get a flea collar of course, but I can’t wash him because he just got fixed! I’m nervous that the fleas will disperse throughout the home even with a collar, especially since I can’t bathe him.
What should I do about the home. He’s been here for one night. Tomorrow will be his first full day in the house, but I want to ensure I’m taking the proper precautions! Is there a way I can clean him without scrubbing him?
If I were to have an exterminator come out tomorrow, would it take care of things? I’m seeing this is like a 3 month process, which gives me a total panic attack as I’m not the ~calm~ type. Help me, haha I’m stressing out and want the best for my home, and pets.
