No, I don't love that she is aggressive. She is a rat terrier mix. We rescued her when she was around a year old, and the only thing we were told is that she was a stray from NYC. We didn't have a backyard, so we had to walk her. Every dog she sees, even now, she wants to attack, and she has attacked a few. If she's in the house and hears a dog or sees one out the window, she goes nuts. She has always had guarding aggression. If she has something that she's not supposed to have, you can't get it from her without getting bit. Over the years, she has become more aggressive with us. For example, if she is next to my husband, I can't kiss him goodbye, and vice versa. If she is next to me and I have to move, disrupting her, she will snarl, and sometimes bite my hand. We have had her for 9 years. She's not getting better, she's getting worse. I reached out to a few trainers early on, but my husband was not consistent with the techniques. She does have a sweet side. She loves to cuddle, she loves everyone she meets. She is very smart. Its extremely hard to love her, but I do. I know if we surrender her, she will get put down because of her aggression, and I just can't do that. But everyday is a struggle.
