How much money to pay my friend to watch my dog

What's good everyone first post here. So I'm moving to Charlotte NC w my best friend who has lived w me and my dog for 4 yrs. My new job is 60% travel probably 30% of that is overnight. I've spoke to him already about him keeping an eye on him while I'm traveling. I want to pay him but would like some feedback as to what would be a fair amount. We will be living together and we will also have a fenced in backyard. Any thoughts/feedback is much appreciated. Tysm
