We have two cats, one of which I plan to take with me when I move out and is under my personal ownership. For months I have been pushing my grandma to let us try those soft paws claw caps, and it seemed like she agreed to try, but the other day I woke up to the news that she had brought them into the vet to get declawed. I unfortunately decided to hide how furious I was but now I'm just worried for them. They got back today and I haven't seen them at all. They have temporary cat litter that's easier on their wounded paws and it seems like appropriate precautions are being taken but I still worry that they'll go through personality changes and that they're effectively scarred for life. Is there anything I can do from here on out but show them a lot of love?
