Our 12 year old cat has been missing since last night. He's always come home the same night we let him out so it has my whole family very worried. What are the best things we can do to try and help find him?

Basically what the title says. Although he's kind of an older cat, he's doesn't act like it much, and showed no signs of illness yesterday when we saw him last. I'm just terrified that he got hurt or worse and that's why he hasn't come back. We've put up some posters around the neighborhood, asked some neighbors to keep an eye out and currently working on posting on all the local facebook lost pet groups. What else can we do? Please, anything helps and we're so worried.
