I have wanted a pet bird for the past decade, I have decided to take the leap. I live in a moderately small space so it would need to not need a huge area. Noise isn't a problem as I am a very heavy sleeper and have no neighbors nearby.
I have no other animals, and don't plan on getting any others. I would want a bird more on the social side that would like chilling on my shoulder every once in a while, and a more intelligent bird would be nice. I am home most of the day and I am fine with a more higher maintenance species, however when it comes to things like food, I would prefer if it was more on the cheaper side. When it comes to lifespan I would like it to have a longer life span however not something like 40 years, 15 or so would be good.
Also I am not sure if certain birds need companions to socialize with, but I would prefer if they are fine alone but also with company in case I decide in the future to get more birds.
