I honestly don't know what to do at this point but here's the background story. I have 3 cats, the youngest one is a stray I found outside when he was 2 months old. He's now 3 and has always been a VERY loud cat. Louder than a human child. But only during the day when he wanted to play or was upset about something. It has never been a problem until now.
2 months ago, I found out I am pregnant and around the same time, this cat has started screaming, not meowing; screaming, very morning, super early in the mornings. He has an auto feeder and has never associated me with food, we and the other cats play with him a lot and I took him to the vet and everything came back normal. Even the vet said "I guess he's just loud". But this is a new behavior, only since around the time I found I was pregnant. I'm not sure if they're related but they seem to be.
I don't know why he's doing this. I've tried ignoring him, he didn't give up to the point he actually made himself throw up (that's how hard he's screaming and why I took him to the vet). I've tried getting up and playing with him, he's completely uninterested but he stops screaming as soon as I get up.
Well, being newly pregnant, I'm exhausted and want to/try to sleep as much as possible but this cat hates it. Every other thing about him is normal, but just will not let me sleep passed 7am (I work evenings so this is basically like him waking me up at 3am). I honestly don't know what to do anymore. I've even gotten complaints from my upstairs and downstairs neighbors because he's so loud.
Any advice would be appreciated because I don't know what to do with this little asshole (which I mean lovingly... kind of).
